Turn a Google Meet transcript into a saved summary

1. Capture or import

Turn on Google Meet's live captions and let the extension capture the transcript as the call happens, or paste in a transcript you already have.

2. Summarize with your key

Add your own OpenAI API key once. The extension calls OpenAI directly from your browser to produce a recap, decisions, and action items.

3. Browse your history

Every transcript and summary is saved locally on your device. Reopen any past meeting from the history view, even after closing the browser.

Install the extension

  1. Download the .zip above and unzip it to a folder on your computer.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome or another Chromium-based browser.
  3. Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner.
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
  5. Pin the extension, open it, and add your OpenAI API key in Settings before your first meeting.

Privacy by design

Transcripts and summaries are stored only in your browser's local extension storage. The only network call the extension makes is a direct, client-side request to OpenAI's API using the key you provide, solely to generate a summary. There is no hosted database and no account system.

What this release does not do

  • No payments or subscriptions
  • No team sharing or shared workspaces
  • No cloud sync — nothing leaves your device except the direct call to OpenAI
  • No admin tools or calendar integrations
  • No support for meeting platforms other than Google Meet
